Teva gets wet and wild for 2012

Adventure shoe brand Teva was born in 1984 in the wild, white waters of the USA’s Colorado river. For 2012, the brand goes right back to its roots with a new product line-up designed specifically to tame wave, wake and rapid, whether you are trekking, wakeskating, kayaking, rafting or just loafing about by the water.

First up is the Teva Fuse-Ion – a sneaker-styled, ripstop and mesh water-baby that is as comfortable in and around water as you will be wearing it to the beach bar. Performance comes from a combination of JStep (adaptive grip pods) and supergrippy Spider Rubber on the sole for incredible grip regardless of the weather. As for shrugging off water - ion-mask™ technology repels H2O on a nanoscale – so you can dip your shoe in water, pull it out and it’ll be bone-dry in a flash. Comfort features include a collapsible heel for easy on and off.

The Teva Gnarkosi is an aggressively styled wakeskating and casual wear shoe designed in collaboration with professional wakeskaters. The Gnarkosi boasts incredible water performance qualities courtesy of both Drain Frame™ perforations in the toe and heel, and Spider Original rubber on a completely flat outsole - grippy enough for the best wakeskaters in the world to do their thing. But it’s not just wakeskaters enjoying the Gnarkosi vibe – fans of its standout style include Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

The Cherry Bomb 2 is a specialist kayaking and rafting boot endorsed by no less than the US National Raft Team. It features Spider Rubber and JStep on the sole whilst a 3mm neoprene upper keeps feet warm and dry. And whilst you can move your feet any way the waters dictate – a combination of a pull cord adjustment and a forefoot strap keep a good fit. Furthermore, a rubber cage protects your heel and a rubber bumper cradles your toes however rough it gets.
